Hope you are all having a better Sunday than me! Life as a nomad isn’t always as much fun as it sounds. Currently my little house is parked up at a mechanic’s yard with a load of nasty engine lights flashing. Hopefully they can fix it tomorrow. In the meantime, family meet up plans have had to be cancelled so I am making the most of this prime reading and writing opportunity. Just finished a read-through of the sequel to The Poison Maker. All done and ready for my editor. And am having a final read-through of a short story that will be arriving in your inbox next week. Goodbye, Flowers is set twenty years before The Poison Maker. It works much better if read after The Poison Maker, so if you haven’t finished reading that by next week, leave the link unopened until you have. It’s a dark tale about one of the less featured characters in the book, and gives some insight into how The Raft came to be. Can't wait to hear what you think of it!
I’ll be leaving the UK in a few days (if the van gets fixed!) And will be heading for central and southern France for the autumn. Hoping to find some beautiful hikes and bike rides. It’s an area I’ve not explored much, so if you have any must-sees then let me know!
